BREAKING NEWS! WB, UPN Shutting Down to Form Unified Network

Warner Bros. and CBS Corp. announced today that both the WB and UPN will shut down and merge into one network called CW starting next fall. The new network will air 30 hours of programming a week, with shows coming from both UPN and WB's current line-up. It will be a joint venture between Warner Bros. and CBS, with each owning half of the new network.

Plans are to include UPN's America's Next Top Model, Veronica Mars, and Everybody Hates Chris. The WB's Smallville, Beauty and the Geek, and Gilmore Girls will also be included on the new network that will debut in September. No further information was released regarding other UPN and WB favorites. Stay tuned to Pass the Remote for the latest on this breaking story.
