FRIDAY FUN: You So Need an 'Alias!'

It has been four months, but Alias is finally returning to a television near you! Yes, Syd and the gang are all back for the final episodes of the series beginning this Wednesday with a special 2-hour event on ABC. Four months is a long time to remember what happened when we last left Syd. If you remember, she was pregnant, Vaughn was "dead" and Syd was trapped on a ship in the middle of an ocean because of something having to do with her mother. Here's a quick recap from TV.com:

Sydney teams up with Vaughn after being kidnapped and being placed in a hypnotic state. What Sydney doesn't know is that the kidnapper is a very familiar face with an obscure interest in her unborn child.

ABC.com has a more thorough recap with all the important details. Here's what they have to say about that pivotal ending scene:

Inside Syd's head, she's with Vaughn on a beach. Syd says how much she wants to stay with him. Vaughn encourages her and tells her that together, they will defeat these people -especially after they find out that Syd had given them the wrong information. He has to go so they can stop using her.

At the Hungarian address, Renee and Jack find a room where a nursery was set up. Meanwhile, with the chemicals wearing off, Sydney opens her eyes and finds Peyton unstrapping her. Syd stabs Peyton with the drug and escapes. Still groggy, she finds her way around narrow corridors, only to discover that she's on a ship at sea.

Again, you can read more about the last episode at abc.com. Now that you're caught up, how about a look at what you can expect when the show returns this Wednesday? Entertainment Tonight caught up star Jennifer Garner on the set on her show. She talks about the big 2-hour return, which includes Syd's labor, the show's impending end and her new fake pregnant belly.

Interesting! Well, I don't watch Alias--never did, but it sure sounds intriguing, what they're bringing on. How many seasons has it been on for, and how many eps in this last season going to have?

Alias is in its 5th and final season. There are about 6-7 episodes left, but they're airing two back-to-back this week and they're doing the same for the final two episodes. :-)

Oh, I can't wait for Syd to get back on my TV. I've missed them like crazy. How do you think they'll end the series? I heard Will is going to be a baddie.

I can't even imagine! This show is nothing if not unpredictable. My heart is still trying to recover from last season's car crash finale! What a shocker! I can't wait to see what they have in store for us this season.

Thanks for the correction. I was wondering how many we had left. Good to know it's 8.

Last night's episode was AMAZING. I was browsing spoiler sites and came across yours. I don't know if you knew, but the finale is airing on a Monday night from 9-11, the same night as the 24 two hour finale. Just thought that I would let you know.
