PTR Abridged: Jordan's '4400' Lives! Plus 'Cold' Scoop, TV on DVD Monday and Trivia Answered

Do you feel (painfully) uncomfortable every time Diana and Marco work a case together on The 4400? I find myself feeling so bad for Marco because I know that he had real feelings for her, but I also realize that Diana did the right thing by not stringing him along. I have to say, though, they have been handling the situation like complete professionals. Marco’s Maia question was sweet, and I liked Diana’s answer to it. As much as I thought these two were cute together, I never did get the sense that she was as into him as he was her. Oh well. Am I the only one who thinks that we might be headed toward a Tom/Diana courtship? I can’t tell for sure, but there seems to be subtle hints indicating that we might. I had been thinking this for a few weeks, but Tom’s invitation to Shawn and Isabel’s wedding was the most obvious. Of course, he could have simply asked her for the reasons he described, but he seemed awfully quick to point out that it was “NOT a date.” Why would he think that she would get that impression unless he was secretly thinking that it could go that way? A couple of episodes back, I got a similar impression when Diana’s former fiancé showed up through her hallucinations. He told her that she had been playing it safe ever since they ended their engagement. This, of course, became the eventual reason for her breakup with Marco. He also told her that she was playing it safe to avoid being with someone she really wanted. Could this “someone” be Tom? Probably not, but it’s fun to speculate with this show.

Sticking with relationships for a moment, Shawn seemed pretty “damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t” last night with Isabel. Either way, there seems to be some sort of catastrophe. One appears to be brought on by Isabel (if he doesn’t) and the other seems to be brought on by Richard and his army of 4400s (if he does). All I can say is, sucks to be him! And finally, Jordan’s back from the (not) dead! So if he’s alive, then Kyle should receive a “Get out of jail free” card, right? And what about this revelation that the 4400 can only carry on their ability by procreating with people who have the Starzl Mutation? This certainly throws a serious kink into the future's plans, which is why they returned all of them to the Seattle area. I can't wait to see how all of this plays out!

‘Cold’ Scoop
The official launch to the 2006-2007 TV season is quickly approaching, which means more information about your favorite shows’ upcoming seasons is leaking out! Today, PTR has hot scoop on favorite Cold Case that will have you wishing September 24th was a lot closer! The following information is considered SPOILERISH, so proceed with caution. Remember that all information (including episode order) is subject to change between now and the actual airdates. A special thanks to orison at Look Again for all of the great season 4 information! OK, here we go…

I told you about the tentative season premiere a few weeks ago, but now, I have information on some of the show’s other season 4 episodes.

“Baby Blues” (tentative second episode of the season) – This one is a 1982 case involving the death of a 6-month old baby girl. Her father is a lawyer and her mother works in advertising. She also had a 6-year old brother.

“Sandhogs” (tentative third episode of the season) – This case goes back to 1948. The victim, John “Boomer” Donovan, is found dead inside a tunnel.

“War at Home” (tentative fourth episode of the season) – No case info yet, but this episode marks the debut of Scotty’s brother, Mike, whose name appears on a list of victims of a former neighborhood gym employee who molested children. He denies being a victim.

As I previously reported, expect to see Lilly’s new love Joseph in several of the first episodes of the season (he makes an appearance in “Sandhogs” for sure). But here’s the real shocker, her former flame – Motorcycle riding Ray from this past season – will also ride back into her life in “Sandhogs.” No info yet on whether she gets back together with him, sticks with Joseph, or goes it alone once again. We’ll have to tune in to find out. And be sure to tune into PTR during the remainder of the summer for all the latest and greatest on the upcoming season. I’ll bring you previews of some this season’s hottest new shows, more scoop and a review before the premiere next month of a new CBS show that is getting a lot of buzz! So stay tuned…

Sorry I was gone for so long. I sort of assumed you wouldn't be posting PTR because of internet connection probs, plus I changed computers and lost the link (hint hint--you may wanna have the blogspot link up somewhere public, it's just ptr.net everywhere).

Nothing to comment on this entry I'm afraid. Never watched the 4400.
