'Scrubs' Says Welcome Back Coxer and Other Funny Things! Plus '4400' News, Michelle Rodriguez and Nielsen Wednesday

Let's settle something up front: Scrubs is always funny. Even when it has an episode or two that is a little more heavy than light, it still manages to be funny. But last night's outing was one of the funniest that I have seen in a while. There were so many funny antics, premises and lines that it kept me busy last night preparing for today's entry. It works out well because Scrubs is getting the featured section of today's blog since Veronica Mars had her own edition this morning after her big finale last night. Dr. Cox was back last night after a brief drunken stupor over losing three patients at once, so the gang threw him a "Welcome Back Coxer" party complete with t-shirts and JD getting a little too into the Welcome Back, Kotter theme song. We also got to revisit Sasha (JD's scooter) and it seems that she has been pimped with a 18-wheeler horn. I'm telling you, I was laughing hysterically when that little scooter sounded its big 18-wheeler like horn. Poor Sasha was soon sent back to the repair shop, though, because JD took her through the Ring of Fire unsuccessfully. No worries because JD rode his bike instead, complete with a "Hair-met." It's a helmet designed to keep your hair from messing up. We also had the return of the 30-cents riddle. Am I wrong in thinking that JD had given Janitor the same riddle a few seasons back? I think this was the point, and yet, like Janitor I couldn't remember the answer. Turk thought that he could do anything he wanted because Carla was distracted with being pregnant until he learned that she didn't want him doing anything that she couldn't do. JD let us know that he enjoys Nectarinis as much as he enjoys Appletinis and he also loves nut-flavored coffee. He equated his coffee addiction to a drug addiction with a hilarious Inside the Mind of JD sequence. And finally, we learned that Dr. Cox is a little gun shy after losing those three patients, but he wants everyone to continue seeing him as bulletproof. As always, here's a look at last night's best, funniest and all around awesome lines in this week's edition of the Scrubies.

The Scrubies
"Here's a bud that's definitely in the need of nipping." Dr. Cox to JD after JD tried to make a big deal about his return

"I'm going to go ahead and write you a prescription for two testicles." Dr. Cox to JD after seeing the "Hair-met"

"What has two thumbs and doesn't give a crap? Dr. Kelso." Dr. Kelso to an intern

"And for some reason I'm not wearing a party hat sitting bare assed on the copy machine." Dr. Kelso after saying that usually, Dr. Cox's blow to his ego would have been cause for celebration

Elliot: "Dr. Cox, do you have a second?"
Dr. Cox: "Sure."
Elliot: "OK.."
Dr. Cox (interrupting): "And you're done."

"Guys, make sure I don't have too much of those Nectarinis. I have to drive my bike home." JD to Turk and Carla

"You know I can't make a decision without you, so here it goes. On Oprah, there's a story about Lindsay Lohan's eating disorder, but on E!, there's a story about Lindsay Lohan's new fabulous Tribeca loft. Don't get me wrong, I want to watch something about Lindsay Lohan, I'm just a little lost here." Dr. Cox to Elliot after she thinks that she helped him make a medical decision

"FYI, that loft is Lohan-tastic! It's vintage Lindsay." JD to Elliot and Dr. Cox

"Did you just bitch-slap my beer?" Turk to Carla

"I started an 'I Hate Cox' chatroom. It hasn't really worked out like I planned. It's me, two interns and 14,000 lesbians." Elliot to Dr. Cox after she told him that he treats her badly

QUICK CUTS

*USA Network will air a clip show chronicling the first two seasons of The 4400 before the third season premieres. The 1-hour special, The 4400 Special: Unlocking the Secrets, will air on USA on June 4th, a week before the season 3 premiere. The network will also air a mini-marathon, dubbed The 4400 Marathon: The Essential Episodes, earlier that day. When the third season kicks off, it will pick up right where we left off last summer with a suddenly grown up Isabelle. You can also expect Tom and Diana to be tracking down a new rogue 4400 group and a surprising change to Lily's life. The third season premieres June 11th with a special 2-hour episode.

*Actress Michelle Rodriguez is talking to TVGuide.com about her sudden departure from ABC's Lost. The actress backs up executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse's claims that the story line was planned when she signed the contract. She says, "The biggest fear for me is being in one place for too long. I'm a gypsy. If I stay somewhere too long, it's trouble, as you can see from what happened. [Laughs] And for what I want to do in my career... it'll be harder for me to get an independent film. Artsy-fartsy directors don't want to work with a famous TV actress. They want somebody who's not in the limelight all the time." She also talks about her recent time in jail after being stopped for drunk driving. She calls the 4-day stint "an amazing experience" and she "wouldn't take it back for anything." The actress also says that she wasn't surprised by the negative reaction to her Ana Lucia character. *And finally, it's Nielsen Wednesday! CBS won another week in total viewers and Fox won the 18-49 year old group. The Eye network was led by CSI (#3), CSI: Miami (#7), Without a Trace (#8) and Survivor (#10). American Idol (#1, #2), House (#4), Grey's Anatomy (#5), Desperate Housewives (#6) and a special Wednesday episode of House (#9) rounded out the top 10. The Welcome Back Coxer was one of the funniest moments of the year, right up there with the Turk dance. And I agree with you that this week's show had some of the funniest lines, ever! The I Hate Cox chatroom was priceless!
