SPECIAL EDITION: Are Things Looking Better for Another Season on 'Mars?'

There are two pieces of encouraging news today about the future of Veronica Mars. First, E! Online's Kristin Veitch is reporting that she heard the following words from an inside source:

"Don't worry. It's coming back."

And by "inside source," she means someone tied closely to none other than new CW president Dawn Ostroff. Of course, nothing is certain until the network officially announces its fall schedule on May 18th. Click on over to Kristin's column to get more and to read her interview with Mars creator Rob Thomas.

The second piece of good news comes from tvshowsondvd.com (a special thanks to Scooter McGavin's 9th Green for the heads up). Warner Brothers released information on the second season DVD set, and included the following information:

"The release date is tied to the 3rd season premiere on the CW"

The site, which tracks the latest television DVD news and releases, received a lot of inquires on the information. According to the site, the information came straight from Warner Bros., which the site acknowledges might "have some advanced knowledge that the show was picked up for the new network, but we'll have to wait for the upfronts for it to be confirmed." Click on over to tvshowsondvd.com for all the information on the season two DVD set.

As I stated above, there has been NO official announcement on whether the show will return this fall, but both news items do make things look a little more promising. If you want to help Veronica Mars get another season, check out the $4,000 Shower Campaign. And be sure to catch the finale this Tuesday on UPN. Tune in later today for Friday Fun where you'll get a preview of one of this season's biggest finales!

TV, I'm so glad your fave show's been spared. Reading your reviews of it is almost as good as watching the episode itself. ;)
