When fellow TV blogger and friend Scooter McGavin from Scooter McGavin's 9th Green asked me to take part in his quest to find the best duos on TV, I excitedly and carefully poured over my list. I don't watch all the shows represented so I can't comment on all the Duos, but Barney and Ted? They are best friends only in Barey's imagination. And Ted is too much of a non-entity to be part of any Best Duo.

Barney and Robin or even Lilly and Marshal make much more sense.

You want to know my favourite pair on TV? Really? ;-)

I don't know or have never watched half the shows in the list but there does seem to be some odd choices from those that I do know. I realise it is not about "couples" but some do seem like a stretch as to be duos.

Brennan & Booth, Shawn & Gus, J.D. & Turk, Earl & Randy and Marc & Amanda I get, but Patty & Ellen or Sawyer & Juliet? They don't strike me as duos. I know Sawyer & Juliet have been a couple in the most recent part of Lost but I don't consider them a duo really. Sawyer & Kate, Jack & Kate would be more obvious choices.

Sheldon & Penny? I've only seen a few episodes of BBT but isn't Leonard more of a duo with Penny. Or perhaps it should be Sheldon & Leonard.

Some others I'd add: House & Wilson (House), House & Cuddy (House), Jack & Allison (Eureka), Jack & Henry (Eureka), Lilly & Temperance... Ooops! how did that one get in there :-o
