QUICK CUTS
*Breaking SVU news from PTR staff writer Trublu:
NBC assured us that they were close to inking a deal
with SVU leads Mariska Hargitay and Christopher
Meloni, and done it is as NBC announces that both
Chris and Mariska will be returning! According to Variety.com,
both have signed two year deals -- Hargitay's reportedly
worth $6.5 million a year (with Chris' rumored to be
in the same ballpark)! That's $300,000 to $340,000 per
episode! The news comes a short time after the
announcement that Adam Beach would be joining the
cast and calmed the nerves of many fans who worried
that Beach would be replacing one of the leads. (A
separate Variety article also confirms that Ice-T is
not being replaced by Beach.)
*And finally, CBS and INNERTUBE are giving you the chance to be on television during the daytime coverage of the Superbowl! They're launching a new community campaign dubbed "15 Seconds," which asks viewers to post their inspirational 15-second messages on YouTube. CBS Interactive will then choose the best video messages and air the first one on CBS television network during its daytime Superbowl coverage next Sunday. Log onto YouTube to post your inspirational message for America.
