Monday's News & Notes

Here's a look at today's biggest TV news, tonight's hottest programs and last night's biggest ratings winners.

QUICK CUTS

*Two USA shows are getting good news today. The network announced that is has renewed both Psych and The Dead Zone. Psych debuted this summer to successful ratings. The fake psychic detective series stars James Roday, Dule Hill and Corbin Bernsen. It will return in January with 16 new episodes. Meanwhile, The Dead Zone will be back for a 6th season. The psychological thriller will return next summer with 13 original episodes.

*And finally, it's TV on DVD Monday! Look for the first season of My Name is Earl to hit store shelves tomorrow along with Battlestar Galactica (season 2.5), Everybody Loves Raymond (season 7), Gilmore Girls (season 6), The King of Queens (season 6) and The Unit (season 1). That's right, the new CW network finally kicks off tonight with this brand new special featuring the stars of your favorite CW shows (formally The WB and UPN). Look for Kristen Bell, Lauren Graham, Tyra Banks, Tom Welling, Sophia Bush and more.

@10 p.m. - Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC), CSI: Miami (CBS)
