Thursday News Brief: 'Men' on the Move!

Here's a look at today's top TV stories.

*ABC is moving Men in Trees to Thursday nights following mega hit Grey's Anatomy beginning November 30th. The move will displace fellow freshman series Six Degrees. The network says that Degrees will return in January. Men also just received a full season order. [More]

*The CW is ordering 3 more scripts from both Veronica Mars and One Tree Hill. Although neither is guaranteed a full season, this latest move is promising. [Source]

*Low ratings be damned because NBC is giving Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip a full season order. [More]

*CBS will split its latest hit Jericho into two seasons in order to avoid running repeats. According to the network's press release, the nuclear series will air a "Fall Finale" on November 29th. It will then return will all-new episodes beginning February 21st. The network will air a special recap show the week prior. The November 29th "Fall Finale" will end in a cliffhanger. The split season decision will allow for comedy The King of Queens to return to the air next month in Jericho's current slot. CBS will air back-to-back new episodes from 8-9 p.m. Wednesday nights.

Thanks for the tip on Men In Trees. I'll still have to tape ER I guess. I can't believe that about Studio 60. That show is horrible!
