We're Going to be 'Lost' Until February

Well, that's all until February!! Can you believe they decided to split the season like this? I think the 24 format would have worked much better, but we'll see. Anyway, it's time for another edition of PTR's team coverage on Lost. Here's what Turtlemama and I have to say:

Turtlemama says: Well, that was an excellent episode of ‘Lost’ was it not? First we find out that Kate might have feelings for Sawyer, but as I said a few weeks back, when you care about someone you care about them, whether those are romantic feelings or not, you want to see them safe and well….So I can see how they could write off her feelings that way.

Jack’s little stunt in the OR was pretty sharp! It creates more questions though…Did he do it for Julia or did he do it for himself? And why didn’t he say that he’d fix Ben if both Sawyer and Kate were let go and led into the OR so that he could see them and then they were sent back to other island?

I have a theory about the island, or two islands…I’ve said this from the start of this season, it’s one island. It’s in a comma shape, so that you can’t see the connection and if you’re at just the right point it looks like two islands. I think that ‘The Others’ want to keep this little tidbit under wraps, it gives them an advantage should the two sides ever battle it out…The Others know where they’re going and what the terrain looks like; the flight survivors don’t.

Kate’s back story was QUITE interesting! So did she miscarry or have an abortion? And haven’t seen her husband in another story somewhere? I keep forgetting all the back stories.

Eko’s holy staff….what’s that all about? Did Eko get visions or voices that told him things that others didn’t see or hear and so he carved those into his staff? Oh it’s just so many more questions! I want Kate, Sawyer and Jack back on the island to help everyone figure everything out! Two major storylines make my brain want to shut down and forget that any of it ever happened! Yet, I keep watching!

TVFan says: This episode suffered from the one-focus problem that has been plaguing this show all season. It's great to see what's going on with Jack, Kate and Sawyer, but I'd also like to see some of the other survivors. Now, we won't see them again for 13 weeks! We haven't seen Sun, Jin or Sayid since the 1st or 2nd episode. How ridiculous is that??!! I have to hand it to Jack for finally taking charge. I was getting sick of watching him mope around the "aquarium" room all day. I'm still not sure whether we can trust Juliet, but I do think that she's a better option than Ben. The only problem with Jack's plan, as far as we know there is nowhere for Kate and Sawyer to run. According to what Ben told (showed) Sawyer, they're on a different island than the survivors, so it seems that this plan may backfire. I thought that Sawyer and Kate's little tryst was stupid on their part. Why risk getting caught by the Others? Even if they weren't being watched on camera, someone could still happen upon them. I don't know, it just seemed crazy to me. As expected, the episode ended with a cliffhanger over whether or not Sawyer and Kate would get away so that Jack could save Ben. As far as cliffhangers go, this one wasn't the best, but it will do until February. As much as I like Lost, its absence means 13 weeks of a lot less confusion!

I'm onboard to the two island theory. Not-Henry was pretty upset that Sayid had the boat because they could fins them. Although I don't understand how Sawyer, Michael, Jin and/or Desmond didn't see the multiple island. But if there is in fact two island I bet they are connected by the Hydra station where Jack is being held.
