Tuesday's Primetime Pass

A look at what PTR is watching tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Veronica Mars (9 p.m. The CW) - "Witchita Linebacker." Veronica (Kristen Bell) is hired by a campus football player to help him find his stolen playbook before the next practice, or risk losing his scholarship. As a result of the expose Veronica wrote about the campus sorority, Dean O'Dell (guest star Ed Begley, Jr., "Arrested Development") threatens to expel her if she doesn't reveal one of her sources. Logan (Jason Dohring) tells Veronica his schedule is keeping them apart, but she realizes he has been up to something else. Meanwhile, Veronica convinces Keith (Enrico Colantoni) to hire Weevil (Francis Capra) to assist with office work at Mars Investigations.

Gilmore Girls (8 p.m. The CW) - "'S Wonderful, 'S Marvelous." Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Christopher (David Sutcliffe) have begun to date, and although Lorelai is finding it difficult to fully commit to the relationship, Christopher keeps coming up with romantic dates to win her over. Back at Yale, Rory (Alexis Bledel) meets some eccentric new girlfriends at an art exhibit, and Richard (Edward Herrmann) becomes a guest lecturer. April (guest star Vanessa Marano) comes to stay with Luke (Scott Patterson) for a few weeks while Ana (guest star Sherilyn Fenn) is out of town. Finally, Emily gets arrested and Lorelai has to bail her out of jail.

Law & Order: SVU (10 p.m. NBC) - "Confrontation." When an assailant rapes his victim twice, Dets. Stabler (Chris Meloni) and Beck (guest star Connie Nielsen) link the case to victims of multiple rapes. Based on the timeline of those subsequent attacks, Dr. George Huang (B. D. Wong) suspects the rapist has one disturbing motive for these crimes. Tensions flare between the detectives as they make a difficult decision to help bring in the dangerous perp.
